ARES MEETINGS

The ARES group meets the 3rd Monday of each month. The meeting is held in the basement of the First Presbyterian Church.

The group is oriented towards emergency communications. Meetings include topics such as:

• Emergency Power
• Radio equipment and Antennas
• 72 Hour Kits
• APRS
• First Aid training
• Message handling
• Procedures
• Disaster training
• Interfacing with agencies
• Communications exercises
• State and County Emergency coordinators

There are no dues requirements for this group but contributions are welcome as funds are needed to subsidize vests and caps and purchase equipment when needed.
