Each Team Leader will contact their team with the portable operating location. Teams without Orange Kits will need to pair with a team which has access to an Orange Kit.
Objectives:
1.
“Hands-on” instruction for new members, and a refresher for other members, in setting up a portable radio station using the UASI “Orange Kit” equipment package.
2.
Update the programming in “Orange Kit” radios with the latest CCARES / UASI frequencies.
3.
Replace batteries in, and/or add 12V DC power converters to, the laptop computers which accompany the “Orange Kit” equipment.
4.
Update inventory records on the contents of all kits.
Notes:
All members, even those on “Agency” teams, need to know how set up and operate an “Orange Kit” if called upon to do so.
Team Leaders, please ensure that all nine “Orange Kits” and all associated laptops are available.
