Location: Fire Station 2, 2106 Norris Road, Vancouver, WA 98661 (south of Fourth Plain Blvd., east of Grand Blvd.)
This will be a tabletop communications exercise which was developed locally by the communications staff at FEMA Region X in Bothell, Washington.
The purpose of this exercise is to "help players understand their jurisdictional plans and available resources, to stimulate conversations, and to understand resource limitations and priorities in a non-stress environment."
• This exercise looks at communications needs throughout the whole community.
• Scenario injects were inspired by “real world” events actually experienced by FEMA staff.
• Participants will work as a group to address both tactical communications networks and to support the restoration of the communications infrastructure.
• This exercise will test your communications preparation.
• The intent is to bring the communications unit together to discuss planning.
