Overview: Leagcy Health operates hospitals at five locations in the Portland Metro area (plus one in Silverton, OR) which embrace ham radio in their planning for emergency communications. Clark County ARES/RACES Team 12 supports Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center (LSCMC) and maintains a VHF/UHF voice and Winlink data radio system which is capable of operating off-the-grid with solar power. This talk will give an overview of how the hospitals practice interoperability with each other and their respective county EOCs via ham radio, and how Team 12 serves as a communications resource at LSCMC.
